For Pi Day we made tiny pies! It turns out that none of the girls actually like pie but they liked making them!Our process was to make dough circles (a trick with no rolling pin...another one of my Michigan treasures!).
Then we made the dough circles into pie shell bottoms.
Filled them with apple chunks.
Cut designer tops.
Then I filled them with this boiling caramel sauce and baked them. The pie tops I made were a secret Happy Pi Day code.
